Why was the NWRFHP PIG Created?
In the late 1960s, the Cameroonian drug market was composed of private wholesalers, untrusted drug sellers with over-expensive prices. So many people could not afford some essential medicines. Also, it was so difficult for those in both Urban and Rural Areas to get good medication. These led to high death rates, high Infant Mortality and Maternal deaths.
